JOB SUMMARY:

The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the communication, execution, and program management efforts associated with enterprise-wide training solutions. This includes but is not limited to the delivery/facilitation of training programs, drafting and distribution of information related to training program delivery, delivery logistics planning, data-entry, and ongoing communication to property training teams and leaders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Communications, Materials Management & Distribution
    • Monitors internal communications (bulletin board, training, recognition, employee activities, organizational email accounts, etc.).
    • Work and communicate with department co-worker, leaders, corporate partners, vendors, etc.
    • Coordinates and supports all program communication efforts, including the coordination of Enterprise Talent Development conference calls and forums.
    • Creates and maintains monthly corporate training calendar.
    • Responds to questions from property Human Resources teams regarding available programs and services.
    • Maintains learning resource library.
  • Training Systems Management and Administration
    • Coordinates and implements Learning Management System strategy.
    • Maintains training records (data entry), employee documentation (tracking and filing) and runs reports.
    • Responsible for Learning Management System requests, course assignments and reporting.
    • Supports data entry and tracking of all metrics associated with enterprise-wide training program delivery.
    • Curates and organizes training material and Talent Development information on learning portals and enterprise network systems.
  • Training Program Delivery and Logistics
    • Schedules, coordinates, and conducts/facilitates core training in an efficient, engaging and impactful way.
    • Assist with Train-the-Trainer Sessions in order to teach new facilitators how to facilitate core training programs.
    • Provides classroom support (room set-up, workbook inventory/classroom supplies, maintains audio/visuals, maintain organized clean training room etc.) as needed.
    • Supports ongoing planning associated with training program delivery, including train-the-trainer efforts, new program implementation, and leadership series scheduling.
    • Maintains consistent and timely internal quality assurance programs; seeks to reduce variances in organizational processes.
  • Training Material Management and Development
    • Assist in the design of training and development programs as needed.
    • Proofs, formats, and brands materials for learning programs as needed.
    • Assists Enterprise Talent Development team with maintenance of existing programs.
    • Conducts research, as assigned, as part of the corporate Talent Development process.
    • Supports printing and other related vendor services.
    • Provides cost estimates for all materials associated with learning/training programs.
    • Maintains inventory, reproduces, and distributes materials for all training programs as needed.
    • Distributes and maintains licenses to property training teams for vendor materials/services and tracks related costs.
    • Processes payment of corporate training invoices.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Supports Corporate Talent Development team with administrative support, as needed.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
  • Responsible for monitoring supply levels and creating supply orders as needed.
  • Monitor supply budget expenses.
  • Sets priorities and manages multiple tasks and projects.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Assist with planning and execution of property, department and company initiatives, employee relations and internal communications activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Undergraduate degree is preferred or comparable professional experience.
  • One - two years of corporate training/facilitation experience or related adult education experiences preferred.
  • One year of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, and/or supervisor experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and/or experience in providing guest service preferred.

  • Strong learning agility and flexibility with proven organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent process management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc...)
  • High level of technical proficiency/computer aptitude; experience working with proprietary HR Information Systems such as Oracle HCM.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate group training and handle difficult participants.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions, be objective, and handle difficult employee issues.
  • Possess strong communication (written & verbal) both in one-on-one and group settings
  • Strong organizational skills, data entry, and clerical skills required.
  • Strong ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must have knowledge of laws and regulations regarding employment.
  • Must be able to properly manage confidential information.
  • Must have excellent active listening, conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Exercise tact, diplomacy, and good judgment in a highly confidential and sensitive environment.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for a wide range of responsibilities.
