The Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex supports Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) stakeholders and customers with a wide variety of highly dynamic T&E, training, and program management requirements. The Range mission requires highly-skilled engineers. Systems requiring support include, but are not limited to, aircraft, aerial targets, air combat training equipment, global positioning equipment, air base operability equipment, munitions, missiles, electronics, explosives, bombs, warheads, fuzes, guns, ammunition and AF Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific knowledge and expertise is required in functional and specialized areas such as flight operations (e.g., pilots, navigators); Close Air Support (CAS); DZ / LZ Safety; and subject matter expertise in areas such as aerospace technology, the 1391/3080 process, GPS, datalink / frequency management, and deployable range systems. Specialized engineering fields for portions of the effort include SME level capabilities.
