Job Description:

Manages the facilitys maintenance function. Develop and implement preventive maintenance and improvement programs. Responsible for and/or performs preventative maintenance and repairs on equipments and systems (e.g. electrical and mechanical). Recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. Evaluates equipment improvements and collected detailed data; analyzes data and reports results. Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance). Troubleshoots and diagnose difficult, infrequent problems with equipment. Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and writes equipment maintenance procedures. May support or otherwise supervise the safety and environmental initiatives within the location. Partners with OpEx Core Team members on lean manufacturing projects and other initiatives. Must display leadership as well as planning and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously improves the plant's performance by implementing lean manufacturing concepts, techniques and processes.
• Effectively implements new performance management systems, production plans and performance criteria; confirms production progress; responds to delays; takes corrective actions; records KPI performance.
• Creates and implements improvement plans for the overall operation.
• Ensures team understands roles and responsibilities as it relates to the team and Greif.
• Encourages joint problem solving and individual development.
• Supports Greif mission, follows values of Greif and works to better Greifs business as a whole.
• Manages and maintains safety observances, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promoting good daily safety practices and habits.
• Communicates goals and objectives, applies company policy, staffs, trains, coaches, recommends salary increases, administers discipline, insures positive colleague relations and reviews the performance of colleagues.
• Forecasts future production and facility needs and participates in the establishment of strategic business and project goals.
• Contributes in annual budget preparation. Controls expenditures in accordance with budget.
• Maintain close connection and contact with other departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 10 or more years of relevant experience.
