Job Description
Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown - or Lehigh Valley - is in close proximity to many of the major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. As the Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of all equipment located throughout the Facility. You will directly supervise approximately 8-15 union hourly employees on one of three shifts and such additional personnel as required to accomplish assigned work. You will effectively organize, direct, coordinate, and manage diversified subordinates to assure integrity of assets on three-shift operation, having direct impact on the maintenance budget. Your recommendations will maintain and improve equipment reliability, PM compliance, schedule compliance, job safety, cost control and provide skills training as needed. The Maintenance Team Leader will actively participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and problem-solving activities to ensure the highest possible efficiency of equipment within the facility.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate installation and maintenance of equipment in the most efficient manner.
  • Schedule maintenance projects in collaboration with production and engineering departments.
  • Ensure that all members of the maintenance department are properly trained in safety procedures and Total Quality Maintenance.
  • Provide guidance and coaching, employee scheduling, evaluation and development for team members.
  • Confer with Maintenance Manager on establishing and receiving quality assurance standards.
  • Recommend strategies for efficient operation of maintenance department, including implementation of projects and budget modifications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience (Years/Type): Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, technical, military or related environment.
