Manager-Major Accounts Property & Specialty Lines Data and Financial Analytics


Key position in Major Accounts Property & Specialty Lines team, responsible for the development, reporting and management of information necessary to drive successful business decision-making. We are seeking someone with a passion for harnessing the power of data and automation, who is willing to explore new tools, techniques, and business areas to create impactful analytical solutions for our Finance team and their partners.

This role will have direct responsibility for data management and reporting, including providing accurate, clear, concise information to Major Accounts Property & Specialty Lines on recurring and ad hoc bases, while working directly with the Finance and Actuarial teams. This role will also be key in growing the analytics function, including executing project plans designed to expand the impact of the Business Analytics team.

  • Developing and maintaining databases, data systems aggregating and reorganizing data in a readable formatwhile maintaining accurate reporting through Corporate systems (BAR, Vision, Tracker, TM1)

  • Preparing reports for management forecasting trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data

  • Complete recurring and ad hoc reporting packages timely and accurately, while supporting management analysis across multiple lines of businesses, including Property, Inland Marine and Ocean Marine.

  • Manage and enhance Major Accounts Property & Specialty Lines use of the Vision platform, which provides on-demand reporting capabilities to business and distribution leaders; role will manage new reporting and functional rollouts, training and development, and user access.

  • Preparing final analysis reports for stakeholders, including recurring and ad-hoc reporting and analysis, to understand KPIs on submission metrics impacting forecast, enabling them to take decisions based on data driven facts and trends.

  • Visualize and develop solutions (dashboards, scorecards, analytic reports) to highlight trends and anomalies in data, while designing and delivering end-user training and technical support.

  • Manage data from multiple sources, including underwriting, claims and actuarial databases, to create integrated views and to ensure data integrity and consistency.

  • Work with several large and complex databases, while leveraging advanced tools (e.g., Qlik Sense,) for automation and reporting.

  • Removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems

  • Lead and execute projects designed to increase the impact and exposure of analytics within the Unit.

  • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and overall process improvement in all aspects of job, while offering support to team members as well.


  • Bachelors degree with focus on Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, or other related fields of study. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience. Preferred experience in Insurance industry with in-depth knowledge of Insurance financials and data applications.

  • Proficiency in maximizing the power of dashboarding and reporting tools (e.g., Qlik Sense), and end-user applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) required.

  • Experience with relational databases and related tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Cognos) preferred.

  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to synthesize data, identify and highlight trends, assess business impacts, and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make solid recommendations.

  • Ability to adjust quickly to meet business priorities and adjust schedule accordingly.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust with cross-functional teams.
