As a settlement administrator, we are responsible for notifying potential class members, reviewing and processing claim forms filed by individuals and entities, calculating losses, auditing claims to determine the extent of the damages incurred and processing and distributing funds to eligible class members under the court's direction. The Position

The primary role of the Manager for Client Services is to support the Senior Director, Client Services, to ensure that (1) all declarations and affidavits drafted in connection with settlements that are being administered by the client services project teams are consistent with the terms of the settlement agreements underpinning our engagements, and they are clear and well drafted; (2) general QA work, of which the highest priority is to ensure that all websites and notices are QA'd for clarity, consistency and accuracy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Declarations:

  • Drafting or reviewing all declarations/affidavits prior to review by our legal team.
    • The review would seek to:
      • Ensure our preapproved templates are being followed and that the document conforms to our templates.
      • Ensure all case statistics and timelines being cited are correct and consistent with statistics pulled from our proprietary case management database.
      • Identify any potential issues to be discussed with Senior Management and/or our legal department as appropriate prior to finalization.

Notice/Website Preparation and QA Review:

  • Review and provide edits to any long form and short form notices prior to dissemination.
    • The review would include and incorporate the following:
      • Ensuring all dates are correct by reviewing language in the settlement agreement as well as any applicable orders;
      • Reviewing the timelines created by the project teams for the clients to ensure all of the dates are consistent;
      • Cross checking all dates in our case management database for consistency and accuracy.
  • Review draft websites to ensure all of the relevant documents and tabs are posted, the web form works as it should, and testing of the online claim form to ensure that all of the fields are properly importing into our proprietary case management system.
  • Draft claim forms when requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A paralegal certificate is strongly preferred.
  • A PMP certificate is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook with experience communicating technical business rules and requirements.
  • Strong legal writing, analysis and research skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of managers and end-users in the organization and externally.

The current New York salary range for this position is $60,000 to $125,000
