JOB TITLE: Mgr I, Implementation

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility is to ensure the effective day-to day management of the Implementation organization within the Major Accounts Services Implementation Center. Ensures that designated products are implemented in a manner consistent with the framework of "OneADP" solution delivery that contributes to a successful overall client experience and associate experience. Ensures goals are met and resources are shared dynamically to meet internal and external business demands. Responsible for implementing initiatives and actions that will promote goal achievement and resource optimization. Provides continual communication and coordination of functional activities with other departments or Centers to ensure effective client and associate support.

As directed by the Implementation Executive, drives associate engagement, retention, talent/career development and appropriate programs to support a virtual Implementation organization and promote a positive associate experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures execution of Implementation methodology for a "OneADP" client experience : Manages all daily activities for an Implementation team, ensuring appropriate support is delivered in an effective and timely manner to both clients and associates. Ensures alignment to the Implementation Breakthrough methodology thus promoting standardization and reinforcing the "OneADP" framework. Leverages relationships and collaborates with other Implementation Centers, Specialty Center, Utility teams, Sales, Service and Operations Centers, other Business Units, Finance and BES to enhance the "OneADP" client experience.
  • Sales Partnership/Alignment : Works directly with large, geographically dispersed Sales Teams, department/team leaders and clients on escalated situations that require management level involvement, including issue resolution. Continually cultivates, develops and maintains positive business relationships with the Sales organization at all levels.
  • Talent Development/ Human Resources Management : Responsible for the human resource management activities including maintenance of proper staffing levels, resource optimization, dynamic load-sharing, employee relations, mentoring, talent/career development and rewards/recognition. Determines team and individual training requirements, by receiving feedback and suggestions from the associate, Technical Support and Training department. Ensures that timely and effective training is provided, both formal and on-the-job, to enhance the skill base of the team and overall department. Encourages, recognizes and rewards ongoing associate development. Uses coaching opportunities to further enhance the associate's performance. Prepares associates for growth opportunities.
  • Leadership : Leads, inspires and ensures appropriate associate ownership and accountability in a geographically-dispersed virtual matrix-managed organization. Establishes and attains clearly defined team and individual goals and objectives. Communicates all goals to associates through departmental meetings and individual performance planning sessions. Provides periodic performance feedback versus objectives and conducts annual performance reviews on all associates.
  • Metrics/ backlog performance focus : In partnership with other Implementation Managers, responsible for performance measures such as forecast, proactive risk assessment, backlog, no-starts, quality, weeks- to-start, associate engagement and retention and other metrics. Takes a proactive approach to backlog management to anticipate and mitigate issues and accurately assess, communicate and address trends.
  • External Client Facing Focus : Proactively contacts clients during implementation process to access their satisfaction and the team's ability to deliver comprehensive OneADP solutions. Monitors Implementation quality and productivity using established metrics. Participates in the analysis of client feedback to identify trends, strengths and opportunities. Identifies and implements changes to improve the overall client experience.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned : Includes participation in departmental or Implementation Center task force teams and councils that focus on developing and strengthening "Smart Standards, strategic initiatives, acquisitions, stretch assignments and collaboration opportunities with other SBU's. In absence of Executive provides leadership, guidance and direction to team members.

ACCOUNTABILITY :

  • Interdependence and high collaboration with: a large and geographically dispersed group of Sales leaders and Sales associates, Finance, Training, Operations, Client Services and other business units. Closely aligned to all Implementation and Specialty Service Centers to ensure "OneADP" solution delivery.
  • Start plans will vary by alignment from $10M to $25m.
  • A geographically dispersed group of 8 -- 15 virtual associates.
  • Key Metrics -- Starts, Quality, No-Starts, Weeks-to-Start, backlog management, 1st Year Client Retention, associate retention and engagement.

Education :

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred CPP or PHR.
  • Major Area of concentration is Business.

Experience:

  • 3-5 Years of Directly Related Experience.
  • Preferred Related experience as a Tech Support or in a Senior Implementation or Service role.
  • Preferred Knowledge of ADP Products and value propositions.
