Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians is seeking a Manager of IT Systems and Security for our central business office in Westerville, OH. The Manager of IT Systems and Security leads a team of system, network and security staff. This position works to support and protect the IT infrastructure of 80+ COPC practices and sites. Responsibilities include designing, implementing and maintenance of the companys server, network, and security landscape. Included in this role is the management and development of the team who works to protect the information of COPCs 400,000+ patients.





POSITION(S) SUPERVISED: Network Administrators, Application Administrators, Security Administrators, Systems Administrators, Voice/Telephone Administrators, Laboratory Application Administrators





ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Design and maintain datacenter server systems with focus on security, redundancy, and high availability.



Establish and execute consistent end-user equipment refresh programs with partnerships from other functional IT areas.



Develop and execute test plans to check technical performance of infrastructure; make recommendations for further improvement.



Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a policy for standardizing systems and software as necessary.



Evaluate the companys security posture and make recommendations as necessary in order to provide the best possible protection.



Implement programs, processes and training initiatives for IT staff and end users around system usability and ease of use practices.



Lead team of network, system, and security administrators. Responsible for hiring, completing performance reviews and performance management.



Assist in the development and execution of the companys cloud strategy.



Function as the companys information security expert and assist team on complex issues.



Other duties as assigned.





QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Licensures & Certifications



Required: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, MIS, IT



Required: Minimum 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience



Required: Active CISSP or SSCP certification



Preferred: Masters degree in related field

Exceptional customer service skills



Communicate effectively and efficiently both verbally and written



Knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, organization, administration, and management



Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of a technical staff



Ability to communicate technical information effectively, both orally and in writing



Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions



Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence



Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all staff

Ability to work with non-technical end users



Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a variety of situations

Experience developing strategic system architecture plans



Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis



Extensive experience in system and network creation and development



Solid understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices



Proven experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving system and network problems



Experience providing guidance and leadership to subordinate administrators



Excellent architecture and technical support documentation skills



Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required



Ensure statutory and regulatory security requirements are met on information systems



Configure and enforce safeguards for transmission of electronic information



Assist with the execution of periodic risk assessments of information systems to determine the extent to which key business areas and the infrastructure comply with security requirements



Works with vendors, outside consultants, and other third parties to improve information security within the organization



Develop and run periodic tests of the organizations disaster recovery plan
