The Manager of Business Transformation provides strategic execution for business transformation efforts, including but not limited to key business system and process implementation efforts. Because of the magnitude of change that will occur, this position will require the ability to balance short-term tactical requests with the strategic goals of the organization to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level. This position will represent all functional areas of the organization (business/technical/organizational) and will be tasked with delivering strategic business capabilities for the Lands End Outfitter (B2B) business unit.


  • Serves as an advisor to the leadership of business transformation organization to help ensure achievement of Lands Ends strategies

  • Lead cross-functional change programs and provide subject matter expertise and industry best practices relation to business transformations, engagement model, and functional area(s)

  • Facilitate end-to-end approach for development of key change programs in partnership with senior business leaders

  • Serve as escalation point of contact

  • Develop key hypothesis and supervise project team in conducting interviews, gathering data, defining and executing required analyses identify issues and problems and recommend approach to address them

  • Drive transformational process improvements that result in value improvement for the organization

  • Help establish a baseline value target and improvement KPI (Key Performance Indicator) success factor that can be measured

  • Demonstrate ROI through data collection, enrichment, and usage activities

  • Translate business needs into detailed business process workflows that could be translated to a process flow map inclusive of swim lanes

  • Document processes and/or customer journey map

  • Identify process requirements, assess and align on customer needs and balance with current solution capabilities to improve the end-to-end process

  • Provide critical thinking and influence by helping to link the companys strategic agenda to the resulting execution plan

  • Provide guidance and counsel in development of long term and short-term plans involving strategy development, resource allocation, work plans, timelines, and financial outcomes

  • Ensure end-to-end implementation of change programs across applicable disciplines, including but not limited to Strategy, Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, and other business outcomes

  • Resolve conflicts by negotiating with key stakeholders, including executive management

  • Partner with Change Management to create and deliver training materials

  • Communicate effectively to diverse functional areas regarding changes impacting those areas

  • Create streamlined data workflows leveraging technology and eliminating waste

  • Partner with IT Program and/or Project Management leaders to ensure budget and resources are align to the program needs

  • Maintain effective cross-functional relationships to ensure that everyone is working toward common goals

  • Anticipate and adjust to competing priorities, balancing business needs with technical constraints while keeping the desired business deliverables as the focal point


  • 5+ years of Corporate Retail Experience (B2B and/or B2C) with in-depth knowledge of business process and system integrations and at least 4 years of experience in one or more of the following functions: strategy, project management, or process improvement

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to drive enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives

  • Bachelors degree in Business, IT, or related field

  • Strong verbal and written skills with a proven ability to use influencing skills to drive results

  • Inspirational leader, someone who stretches thinking and has a positive can-do attitude

  • Must be extremely adept with communication, facilitation, cooperation, negotiation and collaboration to achieve results through others

  • Ability to build and nurture partnerships with internal and external stakeholders with experience in collaboration with a matrix structure and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Skilled at developing business cases and quantifying the cost/benefit in a highly collaborative environment

  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills; must be an expert problem solver committed to driving results and multiple concurrent work efforts to success

  • Operate comfortably in an environment with a high degree of ambiguity and a fast-paced collaborative culture

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.)
