Job Description

Effective November 1, 2021, absent an approved religious or medical reason, all US office-based and lab-based Takeda employees who work fully on-site or in a hybrid model (as determined by Takeda) must be fully vaccinated to work at a Takeda site or to engage with Takeda colleagues or anyone else on behalf of Takeda. As a Manager, Rare disease Distribution Services working on the Patient and Market Access team, you will be empowered to support commercial and non-commercial distribution strategies aligned to Takeda and Patient Services Priorities and be highly collaborative across multiple partners within Patient and Market Access and across the USBU to execute against those strategies, and a typical day will include:

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

  • Together with the Associate Director Rare Disease Distribution Services, support commercial and non-commercial distribution strategies aligned to Takeda and Patient Services Priorities and be highly collaborative across multiple partners within Patient and Market Access and across the USBU to execute against those strategies.
  • Responsible for the support of contractual, operational, and performance elements of Patient Services Free Good Pharmacy Partners for the enablement of Patient Services programs and distribution of non-commercial product for Free-Trials, Bridget Programs, and PAP program.
  • Responsible for support of Patient Services Service Level agreements with commercial pharmacies to ensure the smooth operations of various Patient Support Models
  • Liaise with project leaders on specific projects, IT and the Specialty Pharmacies to maintain and improve data elements
  • Coordinate with Account Managers to implement data feeds from customers as defined in the specific service agreements. Shipment data to be loaded to the OnePath CRM System.
  • Where applicable, coordinate with Data Aggregator partners and IT on shipment data issues in the Patient Services CRM System
  • Review SP invoices confirming alignment to the contracts and approve for service rendered
  • Support partners across Patient and Market Access, working in close collaboration with Specialty Pharmacy & Channel Managment Account Leads as well as Franchise leads to deliver result on departmental goals
  • Monitor email boxes and escalate issues as necessary- including but not limited to research of issue via telephone, email, data points, etc.
  • Review, monitor, and respond to daily reports, including but not limited to co-pay reports, shipment reports, inventory reports, TAT reports, and other reports associated with day to day operations.
  • Lead contact with Specialty Pharmacy Partners for management of chargeback processing
  • Ensure external partners are in compliance with standard operating procedures related to REMS, Adverse Events and Global Safety guidelines.
  • Represent Patient Services Hub and Distribution Services Team as needed with wholesalers, 3PLs, and other distribution related entities
  • Partner and collaborate as a point of contact with internal supply chain management team
  • Ensuring operational processes are developed, well documented, observed and that operations are tracked and audited to ensure compliance with Takeda's guidelines and SOPs

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management, relationship management or project management, preferably in a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience building effective working relationships with internal and external business stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft products
  • Experience in Patient Services, Market Access, Specialty Pharmacy operations or Hub Management services
  • Understanding and proficiency in data analysis and reporting

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 20% travel as required
