JOB SUMMARY



The Marketing Communications specialist will help manage marcom projects with internal stakeholders and external agency partners, ensuring the successful and timely completion of projects according to the creative brief, within established schedules and budgets. They will be responsible for ensuring design, tone and overall quality control is aligned to the CooperVision brand identity standards.





The Marcom Specialist is a highly organized and motivated problem-solver. The role requires someone that is detail-oriented, enjoys multi-tasking is highly creative and resourceful and thrives in a creative, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. He/she should have a solid understanding of the creative process and ideally be proficient at using tools of the trade such as Adobe Photoshop.





The Marcom specialist should be highly collaborative have great interpersonal skills and able to interact extensively with a range of internal stakeholders and functions and external vendors.





ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES



The Marcom specialist will:



  • Project Management: participate and drive marketing communications projects with internal stakeholders and selected vendors to complete projects on creative brief and according to brand standards, while closely managing project schedule and budget.

  • Agency management: This could include finding and onboarding new agency partners, selecting the correct agency based on specific project needs/scope.

  • Work with Brand Marketing Managers and internal and/or external creative resources to drive the development of marketing campaigns and materials through facilitation, scheduling, tracking and progress reporting.

  • Apply marcom expertise to any project and with any audience (internal/external).

  • Bring a creative eye and editorial perspective to marketing assets. Proofread content.

  • Schedule and help drive kick-off and status meetings with cross-functional marketing teams, designated agencies and creative resources.

  • Take meeting minutes and global and regional feedback and distribute to the working teams along with agreed upon decisions, action and follow-up items.

  • Know and leverage the tools and processes that are part of the CVIs communication process (e.g. Ad Promo review, posting materials to DAM, etc.).

  • Responsible for ensuring accurate use of approved marketing claims wording in the promotional materials and that assets are in compliance with global regulatory & legal standards through coordination with the x-functional compliance team (Agile).

  • Serve as a back-up for managing global ad-promotion process.

  • Develop, manage, distribute and maintain project schedules. Track progress against planned schedules; identify and communicate risks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  • Understanding of MarCom best practices.

  • Excellent project management skills, like goal setting, deadline and budget management.

  • Great organization, time management and prioritization abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to collaborate all levels and functions within the organization including international team members.

  • Excellent writing, editing, research, and organizational skills. Great proofreader with strong attention to detail

  • Critical thinker that demonstrates the ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions

  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, innovate, and flex to meet changing requirements.

  • Comfortable in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.

  • Strong team player, but with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Understands the dynamics of working with external creative agencies.

  • Comfortable working in a global organization. This includes different time zones.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, and other tools including MS Office suite including Word and PowerPoint.



WORK ENVIRONMENT



  • Primarily Office based

  • Prolonged sitting in front of a computer (it would be a mix of computer time and in-person meetings)

  • No travel



EXPERIENCE



  • Minimum 3-5 years of marketing communication and related experience.

EDUCATION



  • Bachelors degree in Marketing/Advertising, Communications, or related discipline
