Position Summary:

The Marketing Specialist will be part of a growing and high performing Marketing team that is leading digital transformation. In this role, you will oversee the coordination and execution of marketing and communication programs in support of a broad range of digital and traditional marketing initiatives with specific emphasis on event and tradeshow planning and execution; development and fulfillment of sales collateral and content; and reporting and administration of lead generation and customer development programs. Responsibilities will encompass concept development through execution and reporting, ensuring all projects adhere to Brand standards.

We are a leading manufacturer and distributor who has been designing, building and upfitting commercial work truck bodies for more than 65 years. Our products are available through our extensive network of distribution partners, or through any of our 20 Reading Truck equipment locations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with internal subject matter experts (engineering, customer service, sales, parts, etc.) to create and manage integrated marketing projects that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products, and achieve stated objectives
  • Facilitate projects with external vendors and agencies for the creation and production of compelling sales materials, direct mail campaigns and other collateral, on time and within budget
  • Draft creative briefs to define project scope, deliverables, timelines and budgets, gaining agreement from project owners to minimize scope creep
  • Copywrite content for marketing initiatives that support business objectives
  • Coordinate, develop and maintain physical and digital marketing literature and collateral including tracking content updates, monitoring inventory and usage, reporting, printing and fulfillment
  • Develop, contribute to, and maintain the Marketing content library; tag, catalog and manage all assets including, but not limited to images, videos, article, ads, digital collateral, etc.
  • Provide support and coordination for marketing programs, communications, campaigns and initiatives; ensure compliance with brand guidelines; maintain a marketing calendar of programs, events, and campaigns
  • Plan, coordinate and provide support for trade shows, conferences, webinars, events and meetings by identifying, coordinating and assembling requirements, developing supporting content/displays, logistics, schedules and promotions.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns, including maintaining an e-mail marketing calendar and customer newsletters, as well as copywriting, tagging and deploying approved emails to customers, distributors, and dealers.
  • Support the day-to-day content management for the company website(s) and digital accounts, including reviewing and posting of content, creation of landing pages and posts, responsible for the management of digital change request and troubleshooting logs, social calendar (Loomly) etc.
  • Generate regular reports on email and event performance summarizing the effectiveness of campaigns with recommendations for improvements in accordance with established KPIs.
  • Plan and manage company branded merchandise inventory and distribution including promotional gifts/items, as well as banners, signs, and other Point of Sale materials, within assigned budget.
Financial Responsibility:
  • No cost center responsibility; no profit & loss responsibility
Position Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field required
  • Five to seven (5-7) years of digital, marketing, marketing operations and/or communications experience required

Skills and Abilities:
  • Must possess strong project management skills and with the ability to effectively work on multiple project under tight deadlines, maintaining productivity and cost effectiveness through project completion
  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to manage and organize multiple projects, tasks and activities simultaneously
  • Ability to work well in an unstructured environment
  • Responsiveness, accuracy and a keen attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively within processes
  • Must be creative
  • Possesses a sense of urgency; is self-motivated
  • Proactive approach in identifying and resolving problems and issues
  • Proficient with MS office required
  • Ability to learn/utilize WordPress and Pardot are required
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to collaborate with a multi-department team
Supervisory responsibilities:
  • None
Work environment:

  • Professional office environment
  • Sedentary work with extended periods of computer use
  • Occasional work in warehouse/manufacturing plant may be required
  • Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Minimal (10%) may be required by car or plane
