The Marketplace HR Director supports a marketplace with the highest population of customers and employees by identifying workplace problems and providing solutions. They address unique employee needs while managing relationships at the hiring center. This role also contributes to people management including development and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drives a positive customer experience by building relationships and providing solutions to their needs.
  • Supports HR senior leaders by providing advice, counsel and decision making.
  • Provides insight and guidance to relevant business groups to add value to the business.
  • Translates business strategies into meaningful action plans.
  • Fully oversees hiring, conduct and performance management.
  • Continuously identifies opportunities for process, policy and training improvements.
  • Creates environments where employees are valued, safe and able to bring their full selves to work.

    This role is required to live in the NJ/NYC/Long Island Marketplace.

Basic Qualifications
  • 7 years of Supervisory/Management experience OR 7 years of Military experience including coaching, training, recognition and performance evaluation
  • 4 years of experience in human resource strategy with accountability for retention, employee engagement, employee development and employee product knowledge proficiency training
  • Ability to be a strategic business partner while creating HR strategy and providing professional HR guidance
  • Ability to drive executive decision making and influence officers, fellow directors, managers and third parties.
Preferred Qualifications
  • years of multi-unit experience in leading strategies focused on employee retention/turnover, engagement and employee & leadership development
  • 4 years Employee Relations experience inclusive of investigation; Compliance to company, state and federal guidelines
  • Current human resources certification
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business or related fields
