Howmet Fastening Systems is seeking a Materials Specialist II. This position is located at our Simi Valley, CA location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Receives, stores and maintains finished goods inventory, including stocking of finish goods. Inspect material against orders and specifications for correctness, quantity, type and defects. Arranges for return of defective material. Prints bar code labels for material. Dye and sort parts as needed
  • Prepares documentation for shipment of materials, parts, finished goods and related items. Fills customer orders in accordance with shipping documents, and assures proper packing of goods to insure safe arrival. Types traceability information onto shippers.
  • Maintains accurate inventories of each item keyed into inventory. Keys all transactions into the computer as required.
  • Receive product from vendors, verify for correctness and input the information into ORACLE. Enter cycle count data into QAD and verify for correctness. Counts incoming, processed parts, logs and runs receivers. Move received product to the internal customer, inspects parts, and stamps off paperwork (inspect and buy off for quality). Enters inspection information into the system.
  • Receives customer returns
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
