This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, and major inspections on turbofan and turboprop powered aircraft. Trouble-shooting, repair, and modification of aircraft components is accomplished by this position.
In addition, engine removal and reinstallation, operational checks, leak checks, and engine runs are all within the responsibility of the Mechanic, A&P.
- Documents all work accomplished (a.k.a. sign-off) in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
- Accomplishes Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required.
- Reads and interprets maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams when required.
- Analyzes a variety of mechanical problems and determines the cause and best method of repair.
- Tests operation and repairs/adjusts, as required:
engines, engine controls and accessories, propellers and controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems and servicing, and flight controls, and adjusts rigging as required.
- Checks and repairs fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling and pressurization systems.
- Travels on road trips as required, and is able to lead other employees and handle any technical problem that may occur.
- May serve as a delegated inspector (at those facilities where the Senior Technician job title is not in use).
- Responsible for knowing, understanding, following, promoting and continuously improving company policies and procedures.
- Uses hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges and calibration test equipment.
- Provides guidance and assistance to A&P Mechanic I in regard to proper mechanical procedures and techniques.
- Observes all safety, environmental and general housekeeping rules and policies.
- May perform other duties as required by the department.

Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required. Must be appropriately certificated in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65.
- Five or more years experience in an Aviation maintenance experience on corporate aircraft required. Falcon or Challenger
experience preferred.
- Demonstrated technical ability on specific airframes and engines in the areas of inspections, maintenance, preventive maintenance, alterations, and repairs.
- Demonstrated ability to locate and apply FAA regulations, Advisory Circulars, Orders, Notices etc.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and plan work activities in an organized manner.
- Must have good interpersonal and verbal skills in order to communicate with customers and employees.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders.
- Must be able to think clearly, and speak intelligibly on the telephone and in person.
- Must be able to manipulate equipment of all sizes, tools, computer keyboards, and telephones.
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
