Full-time, 40 hours/week, 8:00 am 4:30 pm, Monday Friday. Required: Training/experience in two or more areas: heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical systems, building maintenance or plumbing systems. Minimum 5 years experience. Valid NYS Drivers license required; ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to comprehend oral and written instructions. Strong computer skills with the ability to research and troubleshoot problems as needed. Preferred: 5 years or more experience in commercial Plumbing, experience with appliance trouble shooting and repair, experience with the operation of commercial swimming pools. Current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or willingness and ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment. This position is considered a Senior Level Technician within our Maintenance Shop. Ability to walk long distances, climb, lift, push and pull weights up to 125 pounds; no more than minor correctable deficiencies in sight and hearing. Primary focus on corrective and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems, community pool maintenance and day to day operations, and appliance repair. In addition, performs corrective and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems throughout the community. Systems may include hot water boilers, water softener, air handling units, electrical distribution, air conditioning equipment, and emergency assistance such as fire alarms and emergency call. Perform general maintenance; may instruct others in maintenance protocols. Participate in snow removal. Subject to emergency on-call rotation 1 week out of every 5, may be required to work various shifts; may be required to work overtime. Perform other duties as assigned. Submit resume and application.
