Job Title: Operations Analyst

Salary: $47,909/year

Unit: Telecommunications Unit

Position Summary:
The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an immediate opening for an Operations Analyst in its Telecommunications Unit under the Operations Division. In this position the Operations Analyst is responsible for providing high level overall support to the division and the Office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Translate all DANY flyers and community posting in Chinese.
  • Interpreting of presentation at community events.
  • Updating and maintaining the interpreter database.
  • Processing interpreter requests received from legal/non-legal staff.
  • Creating purchase orders for all per diem interpreters and interpreting agencies for every fiscal year.
  • Track all per diem funds in all interpreting purchase orders within the fiscal year.
  • Adjust PO for all per diem interpreters to make sure they have enough money in their PO to process their vouchers for payment.
  • Zeroing/Closing out any open purchase orders at the end of each fiscal year.
  • Reaching out to new per diem interpreters to retain for future assignments/requests.
  • Retrieving all required signature approvals on all vouchers to process for payment.
  • Serve as backup when anyone is out in Telecommunications Unit.
  • Perform related administrative and clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.
  • Must speak Mandarin and Cantonese.
  • Strong writing skill in Chinese
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Ability to collect, edit and interpret data in existing databases.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple short-term projects.
  • Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Process an analytical mind and inclination for problem solving.
  • Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
  • Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff and consultants.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Commitment:
  • One (1) year commitment to the hiring division.
