The Orthopaedic Data and Reporting Analyst will support the Administrator and Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in achieving business growth and fiscal viability by meeting and exceeding budget and operational targets. The Orthopaedic Data and Reporting Analyst position is responsible for providing, organization, planning, and coordinated administration to the business aspects of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, with a strong focus on data analysis. The Analyst will have overall responsibility for implementation, delivery, and management of data solutions and will possess an understanding of the Department of Orthopaedics' business and data needs, which will enable the Analyst to effectively lead the department through all aspects of data discovery initiatives.

The Analyst will collect and analyze data with standard statistical methods, interpret the results, make recommendations, and provide written summaries, reports, and presentations.

The Analyst will be responsible for the following:

  • Collecting and analyzing data and information, preparing analyses and reports using published standards to identify progress and adverse trends, providing written summaries, and making recommendations and implementing changes when needed.
  • Creating and maintaining databases to assure the availability of accurate and timely data analyses.
  • Creating and disseminating multiple monthly data/statistical reports and developing presentations for leadership.
  • Partnering with Orthopaedic leadership in developing performance targets, reporting variances, and creating remediation plans.
  • Tracking accounts payable and reimbursement requests. Identifying opportunities for improved financial performance and implement action plans.
  • Providing ongoing assessment of Revenue Cycle and providing remediation plans.
  • Monitoring systems, identifying opportunities to improve services, writing reports, making recommendations, and implementing changes to improve quality of care through resource utilization and operational assessments.

Bachelor's degree required. Business, Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science degree is preferred. Strong Excel and analytical skills required.
