HarTru is seeking an Outside Sales Representative. This sales position will be responsible for building awareness of Har-Tru products and services to assigned customer segments and/or targeted markets and identify and create opportunities for prospective buyers to experience the benefits of Har-Tru products and services. HarTru is a global tennis company based in Charlottesville, VA.



Examples of Essential Duties Include but not limited to:



  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to capture market share throughout the region and across all markets.

  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline of new project opportunities with new customers and existing customers.

  • Achieve top-line growth by identifying and developing key accounts throughout the region.

  • Drive sustainable sales growth by building trusting relationships high & wide with key customers and industry decision-makers and influencers.

  • Create concise action plans after identifying customer needs, budget allocations, application requirements, key decision-makers, and expected project close timelines.

  • Provide corporate and technical product presentations to a variety of customers and network of specialty dealers.

  • Work collaboratively with all divisions and team members to achieve desired project support and revenue growth success.

  • Maintain market awareness and trends within our targeted market audiences, understand competitive landscape within the region, and define overall regional sales potential.

  • Attend and participate in sales training sessions, product learning meetings, trade show events, and association meetings as required.

  • Actively develop existing and new account interest by targeting, researching, and qualifying potential customers within targeted markets.

  • Qualify, quantify, and prioritize new construction and conversion leads/opportunities so that the best are given the most effort and energy.

  • Understand the buyer/seller cycles, pricing strategies, and maximize the effectiveness of sales calls and minimize time with unproductive end-users.

  • Look for and participate in sponsorship opportunities within targeted markets.

  • Represent Har-Tru at National Professional Tennis Shows such as the USPTA and PTR as well as regional shows within target markets. Create and present sales presentations and seminars.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and services through trade publications, industry associations, and interactions with other sales personnel.

  • Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of tennis court construction and maintenance and use this knowledge to consult with prospects and customers.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university is required. Three years of direct experience in the tennis teaching, tennis merchandising, or sports construction industry.



Ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the paint and coatings industry Solvent, water, and two component technologies, experience with sports coatings formulas.
