If you have experience in payroll and pension administration, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our St. Louis, Missouri location, the Pension Analyst will support the high-volume pension administration department at our Corporate Headquarters. The main responsibilities include administering weekly payroll feeds to the pension administration system, administering periodic payment interface with the Trustee, completing reconciliations between annuity contracts and the Trustee, and other processes related to retirement data and retiree payments.

AS A PENSION PAYMENT ANALYST, YOU WILL:

  • Review and approve of all benefit set ups, tax withholding changes and direct deposit changes in the pension payment system.
  • Administer or manage weekly payroll feeds into the pension administration system, reviewing error reports, and initiating corrections.
  • Reconcile insurance contracts and reconcile the monthly payment runs with the Trustee.
  • Oversee the retiree death notice and QDRO review processes.
  • Follow administrative practices and procedures of the department and suggest improvements to such practices.
  • Become knowledgeable on the history of Emerson acquisitions and divestitures, shutdowns, and the effect on the evolution of certain defined benefit plans; Assist on pension plan issues resulting from acquisitions, mergers, or closings.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Combination of some college and professional experience
  • Three plus years of data entry experience
  • Experience with payroll/data file processing and reviewing
  • High level of analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and Word required
  • High Level of attention to detail required
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Retirement benefits experience preferred
  • Experience with BenefitConnect a plus
  • Experience with a retirement plan trust a plus
