Our Role:



The Assistant Asset Manager will work closely with the FHA Asset Management Team in monitoring collateral, credit, portfolio and security performance as well as managing multiple monthly and quarterly processes including analyzing in-place or expected stabilized cash flows with market trends for the FHA portfolio. The Assistant Asset Manager will support managers, asset managers, production teams, and FHA personnel. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to learn and develop a broad range of agency guidance, financial, credit, analytical, and presentation skills.





Your Impact:



  • Assist team members in analyzing historical operating trends for various property types, identifying variances and potential areas of risk associated with the operations of the property. Provide written analysis identifying key trends and issues, noting any corresponding mitigants. Discuss relevant issues and provide remedies.

  • Independently manage multiple monthly and quarterly FHA portfolio processes including CML reporting, insurance losses, new loan review, trigger scrubs/monitoring, financial statement collections and analysis (multifamily, healthcare and hospitals).

  • Provide analytical support to managers and senior members of the team on a wide variety of assignments, including communication with agencies and the loan production staff, cash flow modeling, risk analysis, property performance, market analysis, and borrower credit analysis.

  • Attention to accurate detail, take initiative to continually improve the integrity of portfolio information and meet capital source reporting deadlines.

  • Special Projects, analytical requests and general support of the FHA permanent team.



Your Required Skills:



  • Bachelors degree required preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Real Estate or related discipline

  • Ability to work well in a team environment with a willingness to assist other team members

  • Proactive with a sense of urgency

  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems

  • Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical ability

  • Computer proficiency with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Strong customer service skills are essential, including the ability to create/build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work based on established deadlines
