We are seeking a Pharmacy Buyer to:
Education:
Minimum High School Diploma.
Preferred Bachelors Degree in Business or related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum Three (3) years of related experience within the area of purchasing, ordering of supplies or inventory control; or three (3) years of experience as pharmacy technician.
Preferred Two (2) years of experience in a pharmaceutical setting.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional hours outside of this schedule, only as needed. No weekends or holidays arerequired. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
UW Health Pharmacy Services Building a non-clinical location in Middleton that houses nearly 100 Pharmacy professionals. These employees perform various services and duties, including pharmacy administration, Pharmacy Technician Training Program, pharmacy primary care services, medication prior authorization, sterile and non-sterile compounding, specialty/mail service program and call center.
