The Director of Clinical Sales and Strategy will support new sales opportunities for key account and national account sales.Beginning with prospecting opportunities the Director of Clinical Sales and Strategy will work with the Sales Director to identify opportunities for prospects, develop insights aimed at teaching prospects about the pharmacy challenges they are facing with a focus on identifying solutions to help support their membership and manage their pharmacy benefit.In addition, the candidate will be expected to support clinical rfp responses, perform clinical modeling, review formulary disruptions and other prospecting reporting, support the development of clinical sales messaging and support finalist training for other clinicians.The Director of Clinical Sales and Strategy will attend prospecting meetings, broker and consultant meetings and finalist meetings.Travel up to 30% of the time is expected.The candidate should have excellent presentation skills and be able to effectively articulate the clinical value prop for express scripts with a focus on identifying insights, opportunities and crafting and telling a clinical story.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Support key account and national account new sales opportunities starting with prospecting opportunities through implementation.
• Attend and support finalist meetings.
• Attend broker and consultant meetings in support of new sales opportunities.
• Perform clinical modeling for prospects.
• Identify opportunities and insights for prospects to be used in RFP responses and finalist meetings.
• Identify opportunities to improve the clinical sales message and reporting opportunities.
• Review clinical reporting and RFP responses for new sales opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS Pharm or PharmD with active pharmacist license and 7-9 years of experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and appropriately in a manner effective for the situation.
• Excellent presentation skills
• Proficient critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think strategically, design plan of action, and execute.
• Ability and experience with clinical product management.
• Financial acumen.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 138,800 - 231,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
