Physics Demonstrator

The principle role of the demonstrator is to provide support to the Department of Physics and Astronomy in all aspects associated with the teaching of Physics and Astronomy courses. Must be able to design, build and deploy demonstrations used in Physics and Astronomy instruction, as well as breakdown, store and repair equipment used in demonstrations. Provides demonstrations or ideas for outreach programs. This position supervises the Research III Demonstrator. This position requires the ability to build strong collaborative relationships with faculty, staff and students. Candidate should possess strong analytical and planning skills, strong judgment and decision making skills. Familiarity with relevant computer hardware, and programming experience is preferred.
