As an Aruba EdgeConnect Post-Sales Systems Engineer (PSSE) you will be peered with regional Systems Engineers (SE) and Consulting Systems Engineers (CSE) and together with them will be responsible for ensuring that new and existing customers have the highest possible quality of experience through their initial deployment and throughout their lifecycle using Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN.

In a typical day as a Post-Sales Systems Engineer (PSSE), you would:

  • Work in conjunction with the pre-sales SE, architecture team and services partners, ensure that the customer network is successfully deployed

  • Ensure that deployments are moving forward so that net expansion and up-sell opportunities are not inhibited

  • Work with support, engineering, technical documentation teams, and the field to develop best practices sharing real-world customer deployments and feedback

  • Act as the technical lead in the renewals process working alongside the renewal sales team

  • Work with the customer and renewals team to ensure environments supports new software versions that may be required as part of the renewals process to support new licensing tiers or hardware models

  • If required, work with pre-sales, services partners and customers to assist with migration of hardware appliances that may be required as part of the renewals process when hardware may be end-of-life or upgraded as part of the renewals process

  • Review Bill-of-Materials with the renewals team and customer to ensure the correct software, hardware and support are included in the renewal cycle

  • Work to identify new opportunities in the renewals process, software license upgrades, WAN optimization opportunities, new locations, use-cases, and hardware upgrades

  • If required, assist customers and services partners with network upgrades that may be required to stay version compliant, add new features or address critical security issues

If you are...

  • Holding a Bachelors Degree, Technical Degree or Relevant Working Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, network engineering or network consulting

  • Formal network training and certifications are encouraged,specifically in areas of routing(CCNP, CCIE, JNCP, JNCIE, CNE)or extensive experience designing and supporting complexenterprisenetworks.

  • An expert in enterprise routing on both the LAN and WAN, specifically with protocols such as BGP and OSPF. You have working knowledge of how these protocolsoperate, and how they are configured in enterprise networks. You will need to provide expertise throughout the sales and deployment cycle working with CCIE level routing problems.

  • Network design experience that allows you to understand how the entireLAN and WANarchitecture is setup and deployed. You will need to have a deep understanding of how packets move through a network, and the design decisions that come along with that.

  • You will have a solid understanding of legacy networks and how to interoperate with them through the transition to SD-WAN

  • You will need to be able to own the room in network design discussion and whiteboard sessions
