If you are a Product Management professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, OHlocation, you willwork with cross-functional teams in the development of new products and management of existing products for Residential Air Conditioning. You will contribute in all phases of the product development process as well as provide global leadership for assigned product platforms. You will interface regularly with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Procurement, and Operations to participate in defining roadmaps and strategy for products and will guide the execution of improvement activities for new and existing product platforms.

AS A PRODUCT/PROGRAM MANAGER, YOU WILL:

  • Work closely with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and business unit management to define the vision and strategy for product lines

  • Facilitate collaboration efforts with various functions to ensure leading edge technology and speed to market

  • Drive the definition and planning for projects; including identification of needs, development of the business case,formulation of program scope, identification of resource and timing requirements

  • Develop and execute project plans, communication plans, risk plans and management metrics.

  • Monitor and control program schedules, scope, and costs

  • Oversee the execution of business plans throughout various phases of product life cycle; Ideation, Development, Launch, Sustain, Phase-out

  • Utilize the new product phase/gate process

  • Manage communications with the business units and corporate management, presenting both internally and externally to upper management, the sales team and customers

  • Develop and implement new tools, methods, standards and best practices using lean methodology for projectidentification, planning, and executio

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree required plus five (5) years relevant experience or MBA with fewer years of experience

  • Very strong communication skills, both written and presentation

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to develop strong collaborative relationships

  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with the ability to navigate through complex and ambiguous situations/assignments, initiate action, and follow-through with well-defined solutions and action plans

  • Strong planning/project management skills with an ability to work with multiple customers to identify needs and develop appropriate action plans to meet these needs

  • Highly effective at leading technical teams and project meetings, utilizing planning, motivation, and communication skills to drive consensus and action

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical field such as a Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc. plus seven (7) years of experience

  • MBA preferred

  • HVAC industry experience a plus

The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120K square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commerical, industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficently travels from arm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof, there are many oppurtunities for advancement within the Sidney location.
