Job Summary:

The Office of U.S. Foreign Assistance Resources (F) is responsible for directing the transformation of the U.S. Governments approach to foreign assistance. Its objective is to ensure the strategic and effective use of foreign assistance resources to respond to global needs, make the world safer, and help people better their own lives.

Responsibilities:
  • Information Technology Management SpecialistSharePoint Content Manager:
    • Creating SharePoint content solutions using Microsoft Office, SharePoint 2010, InfoPath, SharePoint Designer 2010, and later versions (as upgrade are made).

    • Designing user interfaces within the SharePoint Intranet environment.

    • Writing and maintaining documentation of SharePoint content; troubleshooting and resolving technical problems with the design and deliver of SharePoint content.

    • Collecting and analyzing SharePoint content use and performance statistics.

    • Providing design and delivery advice to SharePoint content providers.

    • Applying information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of SharePoint content.

    • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • IT Specialist (Customer Support):
    • Responsible for resolving problems and providing end user support relative to all aspects of Information Technology (IT) systems within the bureau.

    • Provides effective and efficient troubleshooting and help desk analysts in order to resolve complexproblems desktop hardware and software and user requirements.

    • Acts as the recognized technical expert for desktop hardware, operating systems and applications, utilities, peripherals and communication protocols.

    • Provides technical advice to management.

    • Serves as staff specialist and project lead on a wide variety of automation projects and studies with an emphasis on Desktop hardware and software.

    • For such specialty software products, provides technical guidance to users, help desk analysts and technical staff and recommends appropriate security controls and backup and recovery procedures.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Active Secret clearance.

  • 3+ years of experience in administrative support.

  • Some knowledge of IT support.

  • Proficientin MS SharePoint preferred.

  • Experience with analyzing, designing and making recommended changes regarding SharePoint.

  • Hands on experience with Information Technology Management and IT Specialist as outlined above.

  • Experience providing technical guidance to users in a help desk capacity and with software products.
