Project Manager, Bioanalytic Reagent Generation

  • Provide preclinical and translational reagents for drug development programs in IO/Oncology, GI/Immunology, CNS, and Rare Disease therapeutic areas via a centralized support team and system.
  • Provide project management support and process requests across all therapeutic areas and platform teams with a focus on externalization of reagent generation to trusted contract research organizations (CROs).
  • Contribute to overall critical reagent outsourcing strategy
  • Identify, plan, and execute well defined critical reagent projects
  • Work with point leads for each therapeutic area and supporting stakeholders to help outsource the production of critical reagents
  • Regular participation and possible presentation of data and analyses at project team and department meetings
  • Manage LIMS, inventory and sample management tracking with Takeda stakeholders and storage vendor

  • Work with point leads from each therapeutic area and supporting stakeholders to help outsource the production, tracking, storage, and re-supply of critical reagents
  • Identifiy, plan, and execute well defined critical reagent projects
  • Manage marquis CROs for external work requests
  • Support Research DDUs and Platform Groups with the contract management such as MSAs and POs for critical reagent generation
  • Track outsourcing activities, establish best practices for metrics, and provide updates to Takeda stakeholders
  • Work with Legal, Compliance, Procurement, etc. to ensure appropriate agreements are drafted, negotiated, and executed

  • 4+ years experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry desired
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field
  • Critical reagent management experience desired
  • Strong understanding of drug discovery activities in context of Research line functions and project teams
  • Understanding of critical reagent generation, critical reagent use, critical reagent inventory, and critical reagent resupply process,
  • Good understanding of critical reagents, critical reagent generation, critical reagent quality control, and critical reagent resupply
  • Knowledge and comfortable with information technology applications including but not limited to Ariba, Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and SharePoint
  • Ability to effectively manage projects in a global matrix/team environment
  • Ability to seek diverse input from multiple constituents and stakeholders to drive innovative solutions

  • Willingness to travel to various meetings or CMO/CRO sites, including overnight trips. International travel may be required.
  • Requires less than 5 % travel.

  • Effective November 1, 2021, absent an approved religious or medical reason, all US office-based and lab-based Takeda employees who work fully on-site or in a hybrid model (as determined by Takeda) must be fully vaccinated to work at a Takeda site or to engage with Takeda colleagues or anyone else on behalf of Takeda.
