Exciting role serving as the Provider Engagement Operations Advisor overseeing an Independent Physician Association (IPA) in Chicago serving Medicare Advantage members. This role oversees all aspects of operations serving as the single point of contact for all IPA providers and provider staff to assist in performance optimization. Develops and maintains positive relationships with physicians, providers, and practice managers within the network, including oversight and managing performance in the IPA risk arrangement and various performance incentives.

Areas of responsibilities include:

  • Prepares, coordinates with other departments, and facilitates the monthly UMQM and Board presentations with IPA providers
  • Conducts monthly provider visits discussing packet, performance, and areas of improvement-local travel in Chicago will be 25% to provider offices
  • Provides tactical operations support to IPA providers, including data integrity, communications, and relationship management
  • Creates and delivers materials to educate providers and provider staff on contracts, policies and procedures, quality and service line initiatives, and financial performance
  • Understands, develops, tracks, monitors and reports on key program performance metrics, such as utilization, coding, and STARs/quality performance
  • Assist in the STARS and clinical metrics data collection, and design plans for enhanced provider engagement in quality initiatives
  • Prepares materials and participates in internal monthly financial review with senior leadership
  • Partners with other internal departments, including but not limited to Health Services, Finance, Claims, and Coding in order to develop solutions for strategic business needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in healthcare administration or provider relationship management preferred.
  • IPA experience, physician relations or managed care strongly preferred
  • Medicare Advantage (MA ) experience strongly preferred
  • Intermediate level of Excel preferred (knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Detail oriented, with proven time management and organization skills (including the ability to engage in multiple tasks and meet deadlines/standards).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and presentation.
