Team Description

Consumer Data Research & Development Team serves a key function to research, build and manage critical data assets/capability to enable and enhance consumer loss forecasting process for GRA. The work and output from the team involve in research into complex topics, provide key inputs to consumer loss forecasting process and serve a wide audience across the consumer risk space.



Job Description

The Quantitative Financial Analyst collects, analyzes, tests and researches data to support the consumer loss forecasting administration. Through data mining, investigation and transformation, the Quantitative Financial Analyst will expand the teams understanding and knowledge of various data that will be beneficial to the risk identification and remediation. This position interacts with both technical and non-technical resources to develop and maintain data inventories, reporting, and data classification. Works independently, with intellectual curiosity and technical proficiency, to conduct research and validate and present outcomes, while insuring data integrity. This position is for self-starter, responsible for formulating and managing medium to small-sized projects, as well as assisting in strategy development and roadmaps to deliver high value solutions.



Required Job Skills:

Minimum 3 years of related experience

Strong knowledge and high proficiency in SQL, SAS, etc.

Attention to details and willingness to dive deeper into complex databases and sources

Knowledge and experience of various platform such as Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop etc

Proficient in data management tools and analysis routine such as DQ, access control, privacy etc.

Ability to manage multiple and mixed priorities

Trustworthy and strong collaborator

Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal instruction

Process mapping and design

Lead and adapt to change and transformation



Desired Job Skills:

Experience in data science and analysis, with excellent analytical skills

Strategic thinker that can understand complex business challenges and potential solutions

Demonstrated ability to organize and work collaboratively across multiple teams and functions

Strong written/oral communication skills, with the ability to adjust to both technical and executive audiences

Flexibility to work both independently with little supervision and in a complex team environment

Strong knowledge and proficiency with technical tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, Tableau

Solid knowledge and experience of wrangling with large data and generating insights
