The Real Estate Paralegal is responsible for assisting the Loan Closing department with the handling of a large number of real estate and lending related matters, including commercial loan closings, real estate document preparation, title searches and examinations for loan closings, clearing title exceptions, loan modifications, forbearance agreements, bank owned property sales, and foreclosures. For Commercial Loan Closings, candidate will prepare and revise loan documents such as loan commitment letters, notes, mortgages, closing statements, etc.; review internal credit approval documents and perform or coordinate necessary tasks for loan closings; coordinate with loan closing department, lending officers, outside counsel, and others to prepare for, conduct, and facilitate the closing, etc. Will also assist the closing department with the management of outside counsel authorized to represent the bank in loan closings, including, maintaining closing agent qualifications, drafting and maintaining closing procedures and practices, and drafting and maintaining closing document templates. Candidate will conduct internal title examinations for the bank using Attorneys Title Services ATIDS System; prepare internal title opinions for mortgage foreclosures, deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure, loan modifications and forbearance agreements; and advise the bank\u2019s lending departments and special assets departments regarding title questions and assist with title problem resolutions. Also responsible for tracking and managing all cases, preparing reports and analyses of cases, and perform other administrative as deemed necessary.
