POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for receiving material, verifying that material matches the packing list and purchase material specifications, and identifying the user location. This position also assists with various routine quality tasks and serves a back-up to other positions within the production facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for inspecting materials for quality issues/damage as it is received into the production facility.
  • Documents load arrivals and issues reject tags for product that does not meet Lozier quality specifications.
  • Interacts with truck drivers/delivery services to receive product and resolve any issues that arise during the transaction of receiving materials.
  • Assists in providing shipping documentation needed for product/materials leaving the production facility.
  • Communicates with Vendors periodically to coordinate pick-up/drop-off of trailers and materials.
  • Directs and instructs dock forklift operators on their daily assignments related to the dock.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments
  • Ability to work and interact well with others.
  • Conducts periodic calibrations of quality equipment and other routine quality functions as assigned.
  • Conducts pack audit on paintlines
  • Conducts color audits for product on paintlines

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School Degree or GED required, Associates degree preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution center environment.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to read prints
  • Basic PC Application skills- spreadsheet and word processing
  • Basic Math Skills- ability to take measurements using a tape measure
  • Intermediate problem solving skills
SPECIAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (ex. Box of powder paint)
  • Ability to bend and stoop occasionally
  • Must be able to navigate a manufacturing facility
