JOB SUMMARY:

Harrah's New Orleans is looking for a Recruiter who can work independently throughout the recruiting process and fill positions with high quality candidates within aggressive timeconstraints. This individual must be a creative, high energy, hands onprofessional who can successfully multitask in a fast-paced environment.

MORE SPECIFICALLY YOU WILL:

  • Create an exceptional candidate recruiting experience
  • Own all phases of the recruitingprocess for assigned positions, including, search intake, writing jobdescriptions, directing search strategy, research and identification of bothactive and passive candidates, screening and assessment of candidates, interviewingand making job offers to those candidates.
  • Act as front desk representative andensures coverage of HR Front Desk at all time
  • Provideexcellent friendly & helpful service to internal and external customers byresponding and providing assistance to inquiries, requests, and questions
  • Processnew and renewal and key gaming licenses. Review and evaluate applicantqualifications or eligibility for specified gaming licensing, according toestablished LSP guidelines
  • Input of Personnel Administrationdata for new hires, transfers, promotions, address changes, and other statuschanges.
  • Assistapplicants logging into our web-site and inform applicants about facilities,operations, benefits, and job or career opportunities in organizations.
  • Assistwith conducting I-9 audits, complete forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation andmaintains I-9 files
  • Create captivating job descriptions to attract desiredcandidate pool
  • Partner with department and leadership to define roles,source candidates, manage and execute the hiring process
  • Increase efficiency and reduce cycle time by guidingHiring Managers on recruiting process and best practices
  • Coach Hiring Leaders when the appropriate actions are nottaken
  • Train the Hiring Leaders to ensure compliance with companypolicy, local, and federal legislation
  • Coordinate with leaders during meetings prior to postingto attract the appropriate candidate pool
  • Define and develop effective recruiting strategies basedon business needs
  • Proactively identify candidates by preparing job boardpostings, community and social outreach to target potential candidates for openposition
  • Drive the hiring process and provide regular feedback toHiring Manager on status of recruiting activity and challenges
  • Partner with Leaders and Employee Relations to driveprocess improvements to achieve overall business objectives by identifyopportunities to meet metrics
  • Communicate the available talents to Hiring Manager andmake recommendations on staffing plans to efficiently fill staffing needs to ensureoperational success
  • Manage time effectively and accurately scheduleinterviews, follow-up, and complete other administrative duties
  • Plan and execute recruiting projectsacross the Harrah's New Orleans property
  • Develop excellent and productive relationshipswith all the stakeholders required to build a world-class recruiting operation
  • Implement recruiting processes thatalign with our evolving needs - this will require gaining active buy-in andinvolvement from key stakeholders throughout the Harrah's property
  • Actively develop and maintain anetwork of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
  • Create and maintains internal andexternal talent pool and succession planning programs
  • Embrace latest online recruitingsources and methodologies to attract top notch talents
  • Screen and assess candidates toobtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements,and to provide information about their past organizations and positions
  • Maintain applicant records usingOracle and Taleo System
  • Develop and maintain contact withschools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attractapplicants
  • Ensure applicant tracking, compliance, required forms, conflictof interest documentation, and approvals are uploaded into applicant trackingsystem
  • Provides assistance to other HR functions as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • At least 2 years of recruiting experience preferred
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiplesearches/positions in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Experience in hospitality, retail,entertainment or other service business is preferred
  • Experience providing exceptional customerservice internally and externally
  • Must be highlyproficient in Microsoft Office, the Internet and computer aptitude
  • Demonstrated experience indeveloping robust talent pools to include diverse candidates
  • Knowledge of applicable HR related federal regulationsincluding EEO
  • Experience with social media tools for candidate outreachand recruiting
  • Mustbe able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays andon call.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to maneuver to allareas of the casino.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 poundsand carry up to 5 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and gripitems while working at assigned desk area.
  • Must have the manual dexterity andcoordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PCcomputers, fax machine and photocopier.
  • Must be able to work at a fast paceand in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speakand understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visualand aural cues.
