The Regulatory Compensation Manager is a human resources specialist who ensures the accurate identification of regulated employees that impact the bank's regulatory compensation strategy. Key responsibilities include:
  • Business partner management and education/communication with the business, such as ensuring the business understands the regulatory requirements and rationale around the regulated employee criteria, the businesses' responsibilities regarding this population and adhering to standards and requirements when challenged/questioned
  • Being familiar and aware of business changes, strategy and structure
  • Project management for the regulated employee identification process, including driving implementations into the online performance management system, providing guidance on the regulated employee criteria, creating how-to guides and instructions, being point of contact for queries and issues, liaising with IT, and work with the divisional compensation teams and HRBPs.
  • Managing the QA component of the processes that impact the regulated employee population, which includes downloading reports and highlighting issues, communication with the business and partnership with control functions
  • Working with business partners on developing machine learning capabilities to further automate QA content quality
  • Enhancing the processes each year, including lessons learned and other feedback (demonstrate progress and staying ahead of market and regulatory developments in this space)
  • Assist with reporting to regulators and audit, as needed, and staying abreast of regulatory developments

    You Offer
    We are looking for an applicant with a master's or bachelor's degree (University or University of Applied Sciences) and qualifying experience in compliance, risk, consulting, finance, or compensation

    • Proven experience of minimum 7-10 years in a financial institution generally or working in compensation/HR in a highly regulated industry is preferred
    • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Proven experience working in Human Resources information management systems and/or performance management tools
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
    • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and a curiosity for learning new things
    • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and an organized approach to tight timelines
    • An honest team-mate with a high level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
    • A positive, compassionate and dedicated personality and can-do demeanor who loves to balance multiple challenging priorities and assignments
    • Ability to communicate optimally at all levels
