GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Regulatory Compliance Associate role works closely with Cigna Pharmacy Management business teams to understand regulatory impacts for new and updated legislation at the state or federal level. The primary focus of the Associate is leading, tracking, and monitoring business impacts to legislations as well as oversight of Pharmacy deliverable for Market Conduct Exams. This will include consultation on new/updated regulations, and coordination across pharmacy for Legal on Market Conduct Exams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership with the Cigna Pharmacy business teams to identify impacts of new laws/regulations.
  • Coordinates with SGA/Legal to proactively gain knowledge of laws with Senate or the house in the states as well as pending Federal regulations.
  • Communicates with Cigna Pharmacy proactively of upcoming legislation.
  • Oversees tracking and communicating status of Cigna Pharmacy impacted operational initiatives related to compliance requirements for ongoing business operations for a particular product or jurisdiction.
  • Work with business owners to formulate recommendations to operationalize federal and state requirements applicable to pharmacy or pharmacy benefit services in coordination with compliance and other matrix partners.
  • Oversees implementation completion when impacts identified.
  • Management of impact assessments from Cigna Pharmacy business teams.
  • Coordinates across pharmacy on market conduct exams.
  • Guide on reporting submissions.
  • Leads weekly pharmacy impact assessments meeting with business partners.
  • Pharmacy Business Implementation lead for the New Law Implementation (NLI) Process.
  • Is the "partner of choice" for business operations inquiries, concerns and projects by providing clear and concise guidance.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent training and mastery experience, preferred.
  • Compliance/Regulatory experience preferred.
  • Experience working with pharmacy operations strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects and successfully execute tasks under pressure within strict timelines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to all audience levels including senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to recommend process enhancements for compliance needs.
  • Results oriented with the ability to influence business decisions in a matrix environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Webex) required.
  • Minimal travel may be needed and less than 10% of the time.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 58,100 - 96,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
