OrthoNebraska is currently seeking a Rehab Aide to support the Therapy Department in transporting patients, communicating observations to therapists and various duties. What you would do in this role:

  • Assisting with patient treatment under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist.
  • Communicating to the therapist all observations relative to the patient.
  • Transporting patients to required treatment areas and preparing them for treatment by the therapist.
  • Cleaning all equipment, mats and other items involved in patient care after each patient use according to approved infection control guidelines.
  • Disposing of all dirty linen and replenishing with appropriate amount of clean linen.
  • Reporting equipment malfunctions to management or appropriate therapist and tagging inoperable equipment.
  • Issuing and assembling equipment under the guidance of a licensed therapist.
  • Ensuring proper storage of all equipment.
  • Restocking treatment rooms/supply closet in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring inventory and reorder in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with scheduling patients and answering phones when appropriate.
  • Complying with state and local guidelines to maintain a safe aquatic environment.

Here's what makes for an ideal candidate:
  • High school diploma
  • Basic Life Support required within 60 days of hire.
  • Able to work from detailed verbal or written instructions.
  • Must be able to use judgment for routine situations.
  • Must have the ability to interact with patients, and other team members in a collaborative manner.
  • Clear, concise and timely communication skills are required.
  • Must be able alert, attentive and able to work independently.
