What we are looking for:

As the Sourcing Product Manager (PM) you will manage all stages of the Product Life Cycle for JAGGAERs Sourcing solution including Direct Sourcing, Indirect Sourcing as well as Sourcing Optimizer, and drive engagement with strategic customers, marketing, sales leadership, as well as, analysts to identify market opportunities and secure and align product portfolio investments. This includes the development of the product strategy and roadmap, requirement analysis, functional design, release planning, on-going development support and core go-to-market activities.

You must possess a unique mix of business; technical and procurement process know how as well as a strong drive to understand the challenges of the target markets in order to deliver innovative and profitable solutions.

Principal Responsibilities

Awesome things you'll do:

  • Drive product innovation and facilitate product investment decisions by identifying and proposing business cases that include Build/Buy/Partner analysis.
  • Build compelling roadmaps which address current/emerging market requirements and maximize JAGGAERs value proposition
  • Host regular SME and customer working groups to further analyze functional requirements and common customer use cases
  • Develop functional specifications for new features to size developments and enable release planning
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure alignment with overall product strategy
  • Guide the development and architecture teams in the product development process to ensure quality and on-time delivery
  • Be an end-user and process expert in the designated product area: understanding the users, their processes, problems and needs.
  • Collect and translate market requirements into product requirements in the form of problems, user personas, and scenarios.
  • Identify what is 'important' and what is not, prioritizing development requirements effectively in line with the overall business plan and market problems that need to be addressed.
  • Facilitate scope decisions across the stakeholders.
  • Support successful market launch of new and enhanced products:
  • Define and articulate the distinctive competence and differentiators for the products.
  • Help train the internal Sales, Implementation and Support organizations.
  • Collaborate with product marketing and education teams to accurately document new features
  • Be a credible expert in sales calls, prospect and client meetings.
  • Key measurement criteria will be based on strategic road-map development, successful product suite growth and market segment revenue.

Position Requirements

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement technology is desirable
  • 2+ years previous experience in Product Management roles is a must have
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the software development life cycle, agile methodologies, and Pragmatic Marketing.
  • High level of customer focus, establish and maintain good customer relationships as an organizational leader.
  • Analytic and strategic thinking, solid decision-making skills in the face of imperfect data.
  • Strong planning, written and verbal communication skills (incl. public speaking & teaching).
  • Strong sense of ownership and dedication to accomplish goals and succeed.
  • Proficient in system analysis, procedure analysis, and problem resolution is required.
  • Collaborate effectively with executives and around the business to get to a consensus on roadmap and deliverables.
  • Must have a track record of meeting or exceeding target goals.
  • Strong organizational skills, including demonstrated prioritization skills in a rapidly changing environment, required.
  • Ability to support and manage global teams across time zones is required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% is required

  • Work well with software engineers: You share your designs and the Why behind the requirements with engineers. You partner with the engineering lead to understand the technical feasibility of the solutions before the final design is created. You lead interactive working sessions with your Engineering counterparts in order to ensure that short and long-term design goals are achieved. You provide the long-term design vision for the feature and help break it down into incremental changes that can be worked on independently.
