As a Sales Specialist working in the GI Business Units MED team, you will be empowered maximize access to Takedas portfolio of medicines for patients through clinical discussions with targeted health professionals within the Dayton, OH Territory.

In this role, you will contribute to Takedas mission by ensuring our business strategy and approach is deliberate and focused on enhancing the lives of our patients and supportive of our providers. A typical day will include:

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

  • Foster a culture of Curious, Connected and Courageous to establish open and honest communication with subordinates, peers, manager and senior leadership.
  • Utilize effective relationship managements and product knowledge to influence targeted health care professionals to prescribe Takeda promoted products.
  • Leverage data and customer knowledge to build discussions around HCP's and patients needs to foster ongoing trust with HCPs.
  • Use the Takeda brand strategies to ensure consistent messaging and support to influence HCPs.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Conduct diligence and pre-meeting plan to meet health care professionals' (HCP) needs.
  • Analyze territory information and monitor local market conditions for changes that impact business in order to optimize routing and achieve optimized portfolio results.
  • Utilize sales tools, resources and supporting analysis to plan, develop and execute activities that maximize our product portfolio optimization.
  • Deliver accurate and timely follow-up discussions with HCPs and office staff.
  • Distribute, report and monitor sample and literature use, including maintaining accurate records in accordance with approved sampling guidelines and marketing literature to physicians and other healthcare providers (HCPs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners on routing and resource utilization to maximize overall footprint performance.
  • Collaborate and provide feedback to District Managers on market place trends, challenges, programs, response to promotion, and product access that will aide with establishing goals and implementation of plans that enhance skills and portfolio optimization.
  • Attend all company-sponsored sales and medical meetings and actively pursue continuous learning and professional development on efficient sales, communication & product knowledge training.
  • Always demonstrate high ethical and professional standards at all times and conduct business in accordance with all regulations, Takeda policy and procedures.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid Drivers License

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to drive to or fly to various internal/external meetings and client sites.

Must live in the Dayton, OH Territory

Overnight travel requirements vary by geography.
