POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Scheduler is responsible for managing daily production schedules for multiple production cells or lines. This includes balancing load within capacity, managing demand changes and adjusting work orders to support production demand and inventory plans to optimize manufacturing operations and maintain expected levels of customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Prepare, review and adjust schedules to ensure successful compliance to operational leadtime and productivity objectives, maximizes scheduling systems and processes. Meets operation demand by using methods, machinery, materials and staffing while achieving operational objectives.
• Ensure daily management of finished goods and component inventory to planned capacity and production levels. Knows the status of materials needed to execute production schedules and follows up to ensure successful completion of schedules.
• Communicates changes and reconciliation requirements to capacity within leadtime.
• Recognize data errors and initiate corrective measures and follow up to ensure successful completion of schedules.
• On-going effective communication with appropriate Production Supervisor(s) and Area Planner(s).
• Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments
• Ability to work and interact well with others

Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year intermediate PC skill experience.

Required Skills:

• Ability to file alpha/numerically.
• Highly accurate in reading, writing and keying coded information.
• Knowledge of data files, basic computer applications and pc software to create reports.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Good personal organization and general clerical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• General math skills with attention to calculating areas, performing conversions and using units of measure.
• Print reading skills.
• Customer service oriented
