GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES : The Security Investigator is responsible for initiating and conducting internal investigations as assigned by the Security Manager. The Security Investigator Performs periodic physical security surveys of company facilities to determine potential security weaknesses and make recommendations to improve security in these areas. The Security Investigator will conduct follow-up investigations of employee or guest injuries, lost or damaged property, theft or any other report as required. Provide assistance to Security Shift Managers when needed. Counsel, guide and instruct departmental employees in the area of Investigations when directed by the Security Manager. Perform Duties as Assigned. Maintain an effective system of communication to ensure a constant and accurate flow of communication to the Security Manager or higher authority.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following.)

  • The Security Investigator's essential function is to complete all tasks assigned in the Investigation / Security capacity.
  • GUEST SERVICE STANDARDS: Employee is required to meet the following Service Standards:

    PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS : Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have the ability to provide our guests with excellent customer service, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Education : A High School Graduate or equivalency is required.

    Experience : A minimum of three years in a Security or Law Enforcement position with at least one (1) year Investigative experience is preferred.

    Certificate/License : Must obtain Nevada Gaming Registration and Alcohol card.

    TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS : The Security Investigator will be required to work in a casino, entertainment, and dining environment.

    TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS : (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position). Must be able to walk excessively. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time while reviewing video coverage. Must be able to use deductive reasoning and possess the ability to utilize objectiveness in the course of investigations.
