Through interactions with Finance and direct analysis of accelerator and or early stage investment activities of the company, creates, manages and presents some complex financial models, assembles summary material of the direct investments and accelerator activity as well as other financial analysis for divestitures, joint ventures, acquisitions as well as modeling of other types of projects contemplated by the company. Identifies, analyzes, recommends and assists with execution of mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, & divestitures to optimize IBCs financial & market strength in accordance with sound business development methods & IBCs mission. Creates and builds client relationships while sponsoring interaction to obtain projects. Develops and facilitates the proposal process for specific clients/sponsors including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations and client presentations.


  • Conducts environmental scans, organization positioning analysis and other studies.

  • Identifies, investigates, evaluates, and negotiates mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnering & divestitures analysis, planning & negotiation that are in line with the organizations long term goals.

  • Identifies, analyses, and compares alternative opportunities for entering new markets and adopting new technologies

  • Conduct the analysis of corporate strategic/operational planning and business development initiatives.

  • Performs valuation & due diligence.

  • Interacts with external parties to represent the company and carry out analysis, presentations, negotiations, and closing terms.

  • Formulates standard/routine and complex proposals.

  • Develops budget and price estimates using standard and complex models

  • Develops project plans, defining roles and responsibilities and the scope of work for each project with input from sponsors, project leaders, principal investigators and functional groups.

  • Drafts the narrative that ties the project components together and package and presents the proposal to the sponsoring agency.

  • Communicates back to internal groups the outcome of the negotiations/proposals focusing on conveying the expectations set forth for each group, i.e. clear details, critical timeframes and expectations.

  • Collaborates with the operations finance group to evaluate project performance and to recommend refinements and improvements of all components of proposals.

  • Tracks and reports on the status of all proposal components.

  • Establishes and maintains on-going client relationships with the various parties to anticipate and resolve potential problems. Participate in site visits.

  • Participates in activities needed to support the management functions of the team


  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent discipline

  • Five (5) or more years of progressively more responsible experience in investment banking, mergers, acquisitions & divestitures, management consulting, and/or corporate strategic business development to include some complex financial modeling and business valuation or two (2) or more years of investment banking, venture capital and/or private equity experience

  • Working Experience with presentations & interface regarding Business Development proposals.

  • Demonstrated experience navigating large organizations

  • Demonstrated experience in project planning

  • Healthcare or insurance experience preferred

  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge in mergers, acquisitions & divestitures, corporate strategic business development, branding, co-branding, partnerships, & related due diligence, purchasing agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDA), register of parties, data room, licensing, & negotiation methods & processes.

  • Demonstrated strong communication, collaboration and relationship building skills

  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills

  • Demonstrated strong initiative and self-motivation skills resulting in a strong results-oriented work ethic

  • Demonstrated strong experience in MS Office Suite to include Excel and Power Point
