Overview

LogMeIn is expanding the scale of our global Big Data team. To support this growth, we are actively searching for a Senior Developer, Big Data to join our team, (heavy focus on ETL/Data Pipelines).

In this role, you will utilize your (senior-level) Big Data development technical skills, knowledge and career experiences to help harness the power of Big Data for teams throughout LogMeIn; including, Global Business Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Care, etc. This team and role are critical to LogMeIn as we continue to grow aggressively and solidify our position as a billion-dollar SaaS company.

This position is based within the Province of Quebec, Canada. That said, in this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with a diverse set of global team members spread throughout the United States, India and elsewhere.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and launch efficient and reliable data pipelines in order to source data from complex and disparate data sources, and process that data into consumable formats that help to enable insights
  • Monitor and maintain existing data pipelines by debugging data issues, releasing hot fixes and optimizing performance to ensure data quality and adherence to SLAs
  • Partner with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and representatives from various cross-functional teams to understand data needs
  • Understand complex business requirements and develop KPIs and metrics to drive business growth and decision making
  • Introduce ideas and innovation. Suggest improvements to the existing development processes and practices to improve the overall efficiency of the team. Actively help drive the team towards the next generation of capabilities

Qualifications

  • ETL/Data Pipeline Design and Development background; extensive experience building Complex SQL Queries
  • Senior-level Python and Spark programming skills, (Inc. Frameworks, Libraries & Tools)
  • Hands-on experience working in Big Data and Cloud ecosystems. Required: Hadoop framework, AWS, EMR, EC2, S3, Hive. Preferred: Snowflake
  • Practical knowledge of Linux or Unix Shell Scripting
  • In this role, any experience with Commerce data and systems would be quite helpful, (e.g. invoices, orders, subscriptions, payments, reconciliations, forecasting, etc.)
  • Must be passionate about Big Data, technical challenges, and problem solving, (Inc. real-time and batch processing on large volumes of data with significant complexity)
  • Solid verbal and written English communications skills
