Sinclair Broadcast Group’s affiliate Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst! Responsibilities include monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting processes. In addition, the Sr. Financial Analyst will be tasked with various ad hoc analyses. Specific tasks may include: working with various departments to incorporate financial information, facilitating the monthly general ledger closing process, analyzing and interpreting trends/variances, compiling market data from third party data sources (e.g. S&P Global Market Intelligence), presenting findings to management, and special projects requested by departmental and executive management.

Responsibilities:
- Monthly financial summaries for the regional sports networks including reconciliation to the general ledger
- Analysis of variances against forecasts, budgets and prior period actuals
- By working with various departments, assisting in the development of the quarterly forecasts, the annual budget and the strategic plan for all Sinclair networks and stations
- Collaborating with accounts receivable to ensure proper billing of customers in conformance with contract requirements
- Special projects requested by departmental and executive management, including analysis in support of distribution agreement negotiations

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting required
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the finance area is necessary
- Strong Excel skills are required
- Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook is required
- Excellent organizational and project management skills are required
- Proven analytical skills are necessary
- Advanced math, Excel and analytical skills are a necessity

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- MBA preferred
- Familiarity with TM1 is a plus
- Previous experience in media, advertising sales, and/or the sports broadcasting environment is strongly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary, including the ability to present financial information clearly to senior management
- Ability to work somewhat independently and be resourceful is preferred
