Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 7 years' Human Resource experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment

Our advanced aerospace facility in LaPorte, Indiana is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who has demonstrated the ability to achieve results in several key HR functions and has a passion to put that experience to work. We will look to you to provide day-to-day HR support while partnering with the HR and functional leadership teams in translating business strategy into HR action and hands-on business results. The Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for developing strong working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. This position will require you to apply a broad knowledge of HR and hands-on expertise with demonstrated results across employee relations, employment law, recruitment, training, change management and employee engagement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tactics to execute HR strategies that achieve the overall business strategy
  • Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes safety, quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Engage in positive employee relations building and enhancing as environment in which employees are actively and willingly engaged in helping improve the business
  • Provide support to employees and managers in the handling of all human resource related activities which may include employee relations investigations and follow up, fielding employee questions or concerns, communication and the interpretation of Company policies and procedures.
  • Directs all aspects of recruitment including onboarding; ensuring all activities follow EEO and company policies and practices.
  • Enhance communication strategies focusing on HR as an employee advocate and transparency while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Provide HR analytics and reporting as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with EEO/AAP tracking and program guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with FLSA and FMLA programs.
  • Provide support for employee activities and community engagement programs.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
