Senior Product/Specialty Controller

**Job Description:**
Controller for derivatives and related collateral responsible for disclosures, netting and day to day reporting. Applies technical and product specific accounting knowledge to ensure strong financial controls and reporting output.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Derivative disclosures impacting 10Q/10K and other regulatory filings
+ Ensure accurate and complete recording of collateral transaction for stand-alone financials and top-of-house reporting and impact to FIN 39 netting results
+ Month-end close, incl. journal entry preparation, monthly financial variance analysis, including research, documentation and communication of account fluctuations
+ Ensure resolution of accounting exceptions
+ Accounts reconciliation and substantiation
+ Suspense monitoring & resolution
+ Coordinate SOX Map walk-throughs and support quarterly/year-end audit inquiries
+ Assessing impact of CCP rule book changes on collateral/netting process for stand-alone financials and Top-of-house reporting
+ Analyze current processes and make recommendations for process improvement
+ CPA and/or MBA preferred
**Required Skills:**
+ Minimum 12 Years of Accounting and/or Financial Services Experience
+ 3-5 years of product-specific experience
+ Knowledge of LOB Systems, Reg W, SOX, SAP, Oracle
+ Excellent spreadsheet, double entry knowledge and analytical skills
+ Ability to identify and implement business process improvements
+ Ability to translate complex issues into simple terms
+ Ability to step in and provide leadership across peers consistently
+ Strong technical and regulatory knowledge
+ Excellent time management skills with ability to coordinate and review multiple tasks and deliverables to flawless execution
+ Builds partnerships with team and stakeholders
+ Strong communication skills including with senior leadership
