Arcadis is hiring a Sr. Quality Assurance Representative for prospective work in Ft. Greely, Alaska office with 15 years of experience.

QA RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Read and interpret contract drawings, specifications and documents.
  • Review and provide recommendations to Owner regarding the contractor's Administrative, Informational and Technical Submittals.
  • Attend and participate in preconstruction, preparatory, contractor coordination and safety meetings.
  • Perform daily site inspections and provide appropriate level of documentation of QA activities, including a written report with photos for each visit to the job site.
  • Verify contractor installation and job progress complies with approved IFC drawings, specifications, and all applicable code requirements.
  • Review contractors daily QC, testing and inspection reports.
  • Participate in Substantial Completion Inspections, Construction Completion Inspections and other required inspections.
  • Coordinate with contractor for testing and inspection requirements for on-going and up-coming features of work.
  • Oversee inspections and testing to confirm quality conformance to specifications.
  • Review pay requests and level of progress of each line item to confirm and approve the percentage complete.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, clients and the public using principles of good customer services.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

    • Required:
      • Experience as a Lead/Sr. Quality Assurance Consultant
      • USACE Construction Quality Management Training for Contractors.
      • Valid Driver's License
      • Ability to obtain access onto a U.S. Military installation
      • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

    • Preferred:
      • Resident of Ft. Greely or Delta Junction.
      • Experience as a Contractor Quality Control Supervisor.
      • An Associate's Degree in Construction Technology or Construction Management or a Bachelor's Degree in Contract Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 10 years of field experience.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    • Knowledge of safe work practices.
    • Understand and follow all applicable safety regulations.
    • Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
    • Ability to operate a computer/tablet/mobile devices as necessary to perform job duties.
    • Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to work safely in a variety of weather conditions.
    • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with owners and contractors.
    • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
