Destination: SEPTA

The business of regularly transporting hundreds of thousands of people every day is a huge and complex undertaking. It can only be accomplished through the efforts of a well-trained and motivated work force functioning together as a team.

Here at SEPTA we live by the concept of TEAM - Together Everyone Achieves More. In practice this means improving safety in the work place and enhancing the quality of service we provide to our customers. When we act as a TEAM, it shows.

Thank you for considering employment with SEPTA. Together we can build on our strengths and increase the value of our transit system for the people of the Greater Philadelphia Region.

Ahead of the Pack

As the nation's sixth-largest public transportation system, SEPTA's buses, subways, commuter rail, trolleys and paratransit service carry over 750,000 passengers on an average weekday. SEPTA's service area covers approximately 2,200 square miles and includes the heavily populated southeastern Pennsylvania counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia. Passengers are also transported to areas in Delaware and New Jersey.

SEPTA never stands still

With goals of improving customer service and satisfaction, SEPTA is constantly on the move.

How do we keep our operation moving 24 hours everyday? Not surprisingly, we count on the hard work and dedication of our employees-9,000 people just like you who operate vehicles, sell tickets, supply travel information, maintain the fleet, oversee service delivery, and provide administrative support. People who deliver-every day.
