The Opportunity

Homecare Homebase is looking for a ServiceNow Business Administrator that can align processes in the business with our ServiceNow instance.

The Challenge

At Homecare Homebase, we help home health and hospice organizations across the nation overcome the business and technological challenges that stand in the way of patient care and efficiency. As a ServiceNow Business Administrator, you have an opportunity to help bring the organization into the future by automating internal and customer facing processes, by designing, coordinating, and implementing ServiceNow functionality, and by staying abreast of upcoming technologies and making recommendations therein.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with various organizations within operations to prioritize, design, test, and implement ServiceNow functionality

  • Aligning ServiceNow platform capabilities to business strategy and ServiceNow roadmap

  • Acting as an initial triage and resolution point for operations ServiceNow

  • Representing operations in working with IT/ServiceNow team

  • Working with Knowledge Management to ensure end users are trained and notified of coming changes

  • Configuring the ServiceNow system in accordance with ITIL best practices

  • Creating, updating, and publishing reports and dashboards within the ServiceNow platform to visualize KPI metrics

  • Creating and maintaining internal technical documentation, manuals, policies, and processes

  • Assisting with researching and recommending innovative and possible automated approaches for routine tasks

Required Skills:

  • ServiceNow Administrator Certificate

  • Relational database expertise in relation to an enterprise software system (Oracle, MSSQL, etc)

  • Strong communication skills that include the ability to write clearly and concisely

  • Basic knowledge of common development languages

  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle process including requirement analysis, quality assurance, design, scheduling, implementing, issue tracking, and version controlling

  • Ability to think outside the box, able to challenge conventional wisdom and processes

  • Problem solving and critical thinking mindset


  • Experience with database design schemas and data modeling

  • Strong requirements-gathering experience

  • Strong ability to align business process and requirements with a technical implementation

  • Direct experience implementing the following:
    • IT Service Management {Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog}

    • ITSM Service Portal

    • Customer Service Management

Education / Certification / Training

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related (equivalent experience considered)

  • Candidates with relevant certifications are preferred, including but not limited to the following:
    • Certified System Administrator

    • Certified Application Developer
