Responsibilities

The ServiceNow Technical Lead will act as the expert in ServiceNow configuration, development, administration and rollout of solutions. They will work closely with the Project Manager, internal customer, members of the ServiceNow team and external partners to lead the efforts of migrating from HPSM to ServiceNow. They will advise the customer on the suitability of IT Service Management by providing technical expertise to facilitate the implementation and adoption of the appropriate functionalities.

The ServiceNow Technical Lead will assist the customer in defining the optimum customer engagement methodology to standardize engagements and processes. This task includes supporting technical teams with usage of ServiceNow. This role will leverage ServiceNow technology to support our customer in the area of Continuous Service Improvement and Digital Transformation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • 4+ years of experience in ServiceNow platform.
    • ServiceNow System Administration or Certified Implementation Specialist certification.
    • Experience running/leading ServiceNow implementations on the platform including managing interactions with customers and handling escalations.
    • Understanding and willingness to participate in the full software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and promotion into Production.
    • Experience administering a ServiceNow instance including managing the overall security of the platform, configuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs), developing workflows, business rules, UI pages, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions.
    • Developing, designing, configuring and rollout of new application modules, workflows and catalog requests.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills to all levels within an organization.
    • Leads and supports the development using enterprise wide ServiceNow technology with client teams to analyze and design IT Service Management digitalization based upon business and technical requirements.
    • Provides relevant technical expertise to support the program and ongoing projects.
    • Works collaboratively with clients that have varying expertise and exposure to ServiceNow in order to solve complex problems.
    • Designs, implements, and maintains ServiceNow applications and workflows
    • Automating and streamlining business processes using ServiceNow, along with other integrated tools and technologies
    • Acts as liaison with other developers and architect and with delivery teams working under the Project Manager
    • Creates or updates documentation including technical diagrams and design documents in support of development efforts.
    • Estimates development efforts and provide guidance on development timelines.
    • Supports development of program key performance metrics.
    • Provides consultation on complex projects.
    • Leads direct coordination and collaboration with client personnel.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 4+ years of ServiceNow technical experience.
  • ServiceNow - Certified Implementation Specialist in ServiceNow, ITSM module preferred.
  • ServiceNow - Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow processes, approaches, methodologies, and development lifecycle.
  • ServiceNow - Contributes to the development of governance, methodologies, and procedures to continually improve a rapid and repeatable delivery channel of ServiceNow solutions.
  • ServiceNow - Mandatory ServiceNow certifications: Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, Implementation Specialist in 2 or more of these modules:
    • ITSM/HRSD/CSM/ITBM/Discovery/Service Mapping/GRC/SIR/PPM/Cloud Management
  • Coaches and instructs end-users in effective use of application.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging technologies and technical strategy related to productivity and collaboration tools and advises department management where improvements are deemed necessary.
  • Strong ability in root cause analysis of issues, resolving testing issues, and driving issues to closure.
  • Supports program and project plans for application selection, systems development, processes, procedures, and production methods.
  • Helps define and drive application standards across the ServiceNow platform.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience delivering effective, innovative solutions and ServiceNow engagements on an enterprise scale.
  • Requires 10+ years with BS/BA, 8+ years with MS/MA, 5+years with PhD.
  • Must be US Citizen.
  • Must pass a federal background investigation and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

  • Prior experience in a consulting environment, preferably within the federal sector

  • Flair for identifying and recommending opportunities to grow our client base
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with the ability to effectively interface with the stakeholders and developers
  • Self-starter, highly motivated individual, and a team player
