Job Title: SharePoint Developer

Salary: Commensurate with Experience

Unit: Information Technology Department

Position Summary:
The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) is looking to hire an experienced SharePoint Developer to our Intranet Development Team in our Information Technology Department. In this role, the Developer will develop and maintain SharePoint 2013-based applications and websites with a varied set of complexity, and will serve as a key resource in migration to SharePoint 2019 and Microsoft 365. We need skills and innovation with 'out of the box' applications using NINTEX tools, as well as custom development on an in-house application framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customer needs, and a solid understanding of Microsoft's application architecture.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain 'out of the box' as well as highly-customized SharePoint applications.
  • Develop and maintain interfaces between SharePoint applications and other architectures (web services, SQL, etc.).
  • Configure and maintain SharePoint search customizations.
  • Manage C# code and changes in a team environment to include experience with source control utilities, such as Team Foundation Server.
  • Serve as a key resource in the migration to SharePoint 2019.
  • Participate in creating system and requirement documentation.
  • Participate in status meetings on progress, priorities, issues, performance issues, and future work.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Microsoft developer with a broad range of real-world experiences (five (5) years' or more experience preferred).
  • Experience with Microsoft architectures as it relates to SharePoint and integration with on-premise and cloud-based applications.
  • Experience with NINTEX Forms Designer and Workflow Designer (2013).
  • Experience with Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer, Microsoft InfoPath Designer, etc.).
  • Experience with the following programming and scripting languages: C#, ASP.NET, Masterpages, CSS, webpart customization, Microsoft SQL, SharePoint API, Powershell, XML, HTML, Javascript, JQUERY.
  • Some background with SharePoint Administrative tools a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft TEAMS a plus.
  • Experience with SharePoint migration to SharePoint 2019 or Microsoft 365 is a plus.
  • Microsoft SharePoint certifications is a plus.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (preferably in computer science, engineering or related field of study).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. (Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree.)
Commitment:
  • One (1) year commitment to hiring department.
